363 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine D r. Frieda Kugler Spivack is a multifaceted psychologist, administrator, educator, and researcher who has devoted most of her career to teaching students at colleges across New York. Previously a professor at Manhattan College, Queens College and Lehman College, she also took on executive roles as a project director of the Bushwick Even Start Program and executive director of Hospital Clinics Home Center instructional programs. Currently she is a professor at Touro College, a position she has held since 2003. In addition to her teaching career, Dr. Spivack was the Brooklyn keynote speaker for the New York State Education Conference in 1996, a featured speaker at the New York Division Early Childhood Conference in 1996, and a speaker at the annual Interagency Early Childhood Professional Development Institute held at the Brooklyn Marriott. She has also made extensive contributions to her field as the creator of a family guidance program curriculum, an infant abecedary program, and children’s development assessments. She also wrote several articles published in professional journals and chapters appearing in textbooks. Her civic engagement includes serving as chairperson of the North Brooklyn Child Care Health Council and grant project director for United Way and Parent Access Point. Dr. Spivack earned a Master of Arts from Hunter College in 1963 and a Ph.D. from New York University in 1971 and is a certified graphologist. She received the Ph.D. Founders Day Award as well as a federal grant and a grant from United Way.
