404 MILLENNIUM E stablished in 1996, Washburn & Associates is a national pharmacy consulting firm run by JohnWashburn, who has led a distinguished career in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. With over 40 years of experience in corporate finance and operational consulting, Mr. Washburn has built an impressive professional network and client list that includes several large commercial banks, local and regional financial institutions, and pharmaceutical chains. Known throughout his field as an expert in the legal aspects of the medical/ pharmaceutical industry, he is also experienced in the valuation of medical and pharmaceutical patient records and prescription files. A former loan manager and financial investment consultant, Mr. Washburn has been a corporate officer and member of the board of directors for wholesale and retail drug companies and medical research companies. Currently serving as executive senior vice president of E-Com Consultant, Inc., and president and CEO of Washburn Enterprises, he is also affiliated with the American Pharmacists Association and chaired several committees for the American Surgical Trade Association, the National Wholesale Drug Association and the Virginia Wholesale Drug Association. In terms of his civic engagement, Mr. Washburn has been actively involved with the YMCA, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the Credit Research Foundation. He has also worked to influence government legislation regarding pharmaceutical drugs and been appointed to the DaneVest Pharmacy Advisory Board and the Greenwoods State Bank Pharmacy Advisory Board. His educational background includes studies at the University of Richmond, Williams College and Stanford University, as well as several professional designations and credentials. In recognition of his career accomplishments, Mr. Washburn received the 1996 National Quality Award from the National Association of Life Underwriters. Outside of his professional duties, Mr. Washburn enjoys sports and boating, maintaining memberships in the Hopewell Yacht Club, the Mathews Yacht Club and the Classic Yacht Club of America and serving as a commander with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for almost 12 years.
