405 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine W ith more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, Angela Washington has shifted gears focusing her practice, EarthAngels, on entertainment, sports, nonprofit, art and museum law. While working in the nonprofit field, Ms. Washington saw the need to assist those who were victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, those in need of transportation service as well as custody issues. She became involved in her profession working full-time at General Electric where she recognized the importance of law for benefits and soon after transitioned into entertainment law. To prepare for her career, she earned an Associate of Arts from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Belmont University and Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee. Prior to her success with her own private company she had an extensive career in law, beginning as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable N. Waugh Crigler in 1992. She continued to thrive in the field obtaining many other positions, including associate at Mason & Peterson, corporate counsel at Acuff & Associate, Inc., and staff attorney and lobbyist at Tennessee Medical Association. Ms. Washington has been featured in the 10th and 14th editions of Who’s Who in American Law and the 22nd and 23rd editions of Who’s Who of American Women. She remains a member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Law Review, the Rotary, the American Quarter Horse Association and the Middle Tennessee Hunter/Jumper Association. She attributes her success to the mentors she has had throughout her life. Looking to the future Ms. Washington hopes to make her private practice viable and a well respected organization serving the communities in need.
