407 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine A s the president, chief executive officer, and managing partner of TIP National LLC, Brenda Watson is a force to be reckoned with in the insurance field. A licensed property and consulting agent, Ms. Watson has been aiding those in need of insurance for over 50 years. She became involved in her profession by chance, but found that she had a passion for it once she delved in fully. Her career has included roles as an underwriter for W.K. Stringer Co., Inc. and Tharp & Associates; senior vice president, partner, president, executive vice president and director of WKFC Underwriting Managers; and executive vice president and member of the board of directors for Chandler Insurance Managers Inc. She also served as executive vice president of National American Insurance Company in Chandler, Okla., from 1987 to 2006 and in Austin, Texas from 1999 to 2003. Ms. Watson has reached impressive heights throughout her lengthy career, including being named Insurance Woman of the Year in 1981. The former president of the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Insurance Women, she was named Woman of the Year from 1979 to 1980 and is a member of the Atlanta Association of Insurance Women. The highlight of her career has been mentoring hundreds of men and women in the insurance industry, as she receives her greatest satisfaction from training people to become leaders. In the coming years she hopes to continue providing exemplary service to insurance customers. Ms. Watson has been featured in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women.
