469 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine M arian Hummel is a certified art teacher, supervisor and principal with over 30 years of experience. Ms. Hummel earned a Bachelor of Arts in fine arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master of Arts in visual arts, and completed postgraduate work at William Paterson College. During her three-decade career, she was a teacher of art in the Hopatcong school system, an art instructor at the American Academy for Girls in Istanbul, and an art instructor and gifted and talented coordinator in the BoontonTownship school system. She has delved into her creative side as a photographer for greeting cards. Many of her photographs have been exhibited in shows at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, the Jockey Hollow Gallery and the Bergen Community Museum, and she also has several photos purchased by Lehigh University. Ms. Hummel is a former member of the Association for Supervision and CurriculumDevelopment, Art Educators of New Jersey, the BoontonTownship Education Association, the Lehigh County Humane Society, where she served on its board of directors for a number of years in her retirement, the International Society for Education through Art, the National Art Association and New York Administrators in Art. K aren Jez is a school system administrator and educator with a vast amount of experience in the field. Ms. Jez earned a Bachelor of Science in art education from Edinboro University in 1986 and a Master of Science in education and letter of eligibility fromWestminster College in 1998. Her professional career began as a secondary art teacher at Valley Grove School District from 1988 to 1996. She continued to work her way through the ranks until she became a middle school principle for Titusville Area School District from 1998 to 2004. She has made the school her home and has served positions, including assistant superintendent and superintendent, a position she has held since 2006. Ms. Jez has also served as a board member for institutions in her community, including the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, the Forum for Western Pennsylvania School Superintendents, and the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Titusville and the United Way of Titusville Regional Literacy Council, which she currently serves as president. Ms. Jez has been featured in the 69th and 70th editions of Who’s Who in America.
