486 MILLENNIUM B efore embarking on a career in communications and education, Joel Montgomery spent 10 years serving in the military. Afterwards, Dr. Montgomery began working with the church, which inspired him to pursue communications professionally. He received an Associate of Arts from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University, and a Master of Education and Doctor of Education from Florida International University. He then served in senior-level positions with Coopers & Lybrand, the Resources Institute, Origin Technologies and MetaLearning.com. Specializing in integrative learning, he uses hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to provide clients with support for learning and change that is easy, natural, fast, fun, effective and lasting. He holds credentials as an Advanced Hypnotist and an NLP Trainer, and has authored several books and articles in professional journals. After the terrorist attacks on September 11th, Dr. Montgomery completed a post doctoral Master of Arts in teaching at Aurora University. In Illinois, he served as a full-time bilingual Spanish teacher for six years and in public schools as a substitute for nine years. C arol-Lynne Moore has an extensive resume in performing arts. The recipient of a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master of Counseling in psychology, and a Ph.D. in dance, Dr. Moore has taught her specialty, movement analysis, in various academic settings around the globe, including New York, Chicago, England, Germany, and Korea. She has also contributed chapters to several books on performing arts and written three books about movement pattern analysis, with the most recent, “Meaning in Motion: Introducing Laban Movement Analysis” published in 2014. Dr. Moore’s greatest career achievement is owning the MoveScape Center, a modern-day learning center dedicated to studying and understanding human movement and drawing upon the teachings of Rudolf Laban, a 20th-century dance and movement theorist. In addition to running her own company, Dr. Moore is presently a consultant trainer in movement pattern analysis for the Warren Lamb Trust.
