489 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine M r. Harold Nord has used both his experience and educational background to establish himself as a successful small-business owner. His education began at Michigan State University in 1950 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in hotel administration. He later received a master’s degree in Aeronautical Science Management at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1993. He also attained an air transport pilot certification, and thus became captain for Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc., based in Miami, Fla. Following his desire to be an entrepreneur, Mr. Nord established two businesses in Laconia, N.H. He used the experience he gained as a business owner to create Southern Skies Communications Group, which he serves as director. His many accomplishments include the receipt of the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award, which was given to him by the Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Nord celebrates 40 years in aviation, management, consulting and piloting. He attributes his success to his parents, his Christian upbringing, assertiveness, and his ability to take every opportunity presented to him head-on. Mr. Nord hopes to be a living example to young people proving that one can achieve anything that they put their mind to. R obert L. Ohsfeldt is an economics health educator and a professor of public health in the Texas A&M School of Public Health. He received a bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Houston in 1977 and 1983 respectively. With a desire to learn more about his field, Dr. Ohsfeldt became a research associate and research economist before delving into education as an assistant professor, succeeding until he reached his current position. In addition to his career as a health educator, he has also co-authored various books, written for professional journals, and served as both a co-editor and member of an editorial board. Dr. Ohsfeldt remains active in his field through his affiliations with the American Society of Health Economists, The International Health Economics Association, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. He was accepted into the Lilly Research Award Program, sponsored by Eli Lilly and Company, which provides scientists working on research projects with an avenue to collaborate with likeminded researchers. His dedication to the field of health economics is helping to pave the way towards greater efficiency in health care.
