492 MILLENNIUM D avid Thomas Prosser, Jr. is a former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice and state legislator with broad experience in law and government. At the age of nine Mr. Prosser had an intense interest in politics that ignited his determination for a career in public service. Before being appointed to the Supreme Court in 1998, he was a lecturer at Indianan University Indianapolis Law School, an attorney and speech-writer at the United States Department of Justice, administrative assistant to Wisconsin Congressman, an elected District Attorney, and an 18-year member of the Wisconsin State Assembly where he served as minority leader and speaker. He also served on the Wisconsin Tax Appeals Commission. After his retirement from the Supreme Court in 2016, Mr. Prosser was honored when the court named the Wisconsin State Law Library after him. Mr. Prosser attributes his success to perseverance, surviving both election losses and the first statewide candidate recount inWisconsin history. Mr. Prosser is a longtime print collector and continues to be active in the law as a member of the Wisconsin Bar, the Wisconsin Law Foundation, and the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. C hairman and chief executive officer of Puris Partners, Martin F. Puris has served in leadership roles for over 55 years. In 1962 Mr. Puris served with Campbell Ewald and later moved on to serve with Young & Rubicam, Inc. with the experience and knowledge he gained from those positions he became vice president of Carl Ally, Inc. from 1966 to 1974. After serving in that position for eight years he became president and chief executive officer at Ammirati & Puris, Inc. from 1974 to 1994 and later was promoted to chief creative officer. He has penned himself an author of “Comeback: How Seven Straight-Shooting CEOs Turned Around Troubled Companies.” He is the recipient of many awards and accolades for his contributions, including induction into The One Club’s Creative Hall of Fame, as well as inclusion in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who in the World. In addition to his extensive career he has served on the board of the directors of ASPCA, vice chairman of Sheltering Arms, and media advisor for President George H.W. Bush.
