506 MILLENNIUM R egistered civil engineer of the Icelandic Ministry Industry and Commerce, Thorsteinn Thorsteinsson is a civil engineer and educator who has been answering issues related to planning and building for over four decades. Mr. Thorsteinsson has been a consulting engineer since the start of his career in 1974. From 1991 to the present, he has been utilizing his skills as a researcher at the University of Iceland. In addition to his research position, he is also an adjunct professor at the institution, a position he has held since 1985. Alongside his career, he has served as vice president of the Icelandic Athletic Association from 1993 to 2002, and as a member of the National Arbitration Committee Planning and Building Issues since 1996. He remains a fellow of the International Association Athletics Federations, serving as the area technician officer since 1996, and a member of the Technology Terminology of Icelandic Engineers, where he served as chairman of the committee, and the Icelandic Society of Civil Engineers, where he serves as an associate. Mr. Thorsteinsson holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Iceland. S teluian-Doru Ticsa is an international surgeon who founded TIMMES, Inc., a company that helps solve the inefficiencies and time-lag in the transmission of data-intensive medical images by United States military personnel, based in Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Ticsa became inspired to pursue medicine through his 17 family members who are also physicians. As a young child, he always excelled in mathematics, and though his father encouraged him to pursue a career in that field, he knew that the medical field was the appropriate choice. To prepare for his career, he earned a Doctor of Medicine in orthopedics and plastic surgery from Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Dr. Ticsa attributes his success to his continuity and commitment to honor the oath he took when he became a doctor. Looking to the future, he plans to expand his company and do business with more countries.
