283 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine R obert P. Morse is the executive chairman and a principal of Morse Asset Management, Inc., a company that provides investment advisory services as well as management and financial planning services. Mr. Morse started his professional journey with a summer job in 1959, after which he decided to attend The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He chose his career based on the influence of his father, who ran Dime Community Bank in New York, and was hired upon leaving the United States Navy. Mr. Morse’s 47 years of experience in the New York financial industry have included serving as vice president of the W.H. Morton & Co. division of American Express and as senior vice president and partner in Campbell & Company, LP. He was also chairman and chief executive officer of Morse, William & Co. and Capital Guardian LLC, as well as a partner and senior portfolio manager for Evercore. Over the course of his career, he has accomplished much, including testing at the National Security Council in 1989, lecturing for the National Society of Security Analysts, and writing the economics-related portion of a speech given by George H.W. Bush. Mr. Morse is ranked as one of the top money managers in the country and is also credited with starting a national outreach program in inner city schools. Mr. Morse is a member of the National Security Industrial Association, the Pilgrims of the United States, the River Club of New York, the Bond Club of New York, the U.S. Naval Institute, and the Union Club of the City of New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1967 and took a course in advanced currency theory at an Adelphi University Suffolk location from 1970 to 1971.
