201 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine R obert J. Holland has over 50 years of experience in banking, finance and estate planning. To prepare for a fruitful career, Mr. Holland obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1958 and a Juris Doctor from Ohio State University in 1963. He began his career as an associate with Chester & Rose, remaining with the firm until 1967. After leaving that position, he served as general counsel for BancOhio Financial and later made partner at Bodiker & Holland. From 1970 to 1985, he worked for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, serving as partner and general counsel. For 10 years, he served as an attorney for the city of Upper Arlington, handling traffic tickets, civil lawsuits and housing code violations, in addition to advising on issues ranging from misdemeanor prosecution to civil claims against the city. From 1976 to his retirement in 2001, he served as general counsel and a member of the board of directors of Servinat, Inc. Mr. Holland is a founder and former member of the board of directors of the Wellington School in Columbus and was president of the Central Ohio Transit Authority board of directors from 1971 to 1974. He contributed his legal expertise as a co-author of “Ohio Taxation: Truth in Lending” and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. He served as chairman of the Columbus Bar Association’s law institutes committee from 1968 to 1970, chairman of unauthorized practice from 1973 to 1974, and a member of the ethics committee from 1973 to 1977.
