306 MILLENNIUM S hirley Stewart Pauley is a woman whose dedication to her religion and continued faith have allowed her to maintain prominence within the church. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Gordon College and did postgraduate work at Arizona State University and Boston University. Before beginning a career in ministry, she became a secretary and receptionist at Atwell, Co. She continued to utilize her administrative skills as a secretary and typist for Kelly Girl from 1956 to 1960, an assistant office manager for the Radiator Chemical Corporation from 1960 to 1962, and a secretary and clerical worker for General Motors from 1962 to 1966. Having gained a vast amount of experience, Ms. Pauley was vice president and co-founder of Truth Alive Ministries, which was founded by her and her late husband, with whom she worked closely. She served in the position from 1995 to 2017. During her youth, her brother was her mentor. Dr. and Ms. Pauley have also worked with church members and staff to achieve its mission and objectives, extending the ministry to employees, members and the surrounding community. In addition to serving her church, Ms. Pauley has also given back to her community. She was a speaker-at-large in Boston, Massachusetts, and a Sunday school teacher for Blaney Memorial Baptist Church from 1956 to 1960. She also served as pianist, choir director and co-youth director for Sherwood Baptist Church from 1961 to 1962, as a messenger for the Baptist General Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1996, and as a Bible study leader for Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, from 2006 to 2012.
