310 MILLENNIUM W hen it comes to the advancement of the automotive market, Richard Pesserl has made it his priority to be at the forefront of change. An open mind and an innovative way of thinking have benefitted Mr. Pesserl throughout 25 years of serving in various managerial positions while maintaining a rational and analytical approach to industry business. He has upheld this approach throughout his first year as a sales team manager for automotive solutions provider Robert Bosch LLC and initiated a fair share of advancements, benefitting the company as a result. Mr. Pesserl planned and coordinated a market study on the rise and impact of advanced driver assistance in the automotive field. As sales manager, Mr. Pesserl offers his marketing and sales consulting expertise in the company’s car multimedia division and oversees sales of passenger cars, as well as commercial and recreational vehicles. He joined Bosch’s German branch as an airbag product manager, having become interested in the field because of its constant technical innovation. As the years went on, Mr. Pesserl was able to live and work in North and South America and Europe, interact with diverse cultures, and become fluent in German, Spanish and Portuguese before returning stateside in 1998. Mr. Pesserl spearheaded a sales team that landed a contract to produce the first electronic stability control for a three-wheeled vehicle called the BRP Can-Am Spyder. Completing the project remains one of his proudest moments, in addition to helping bring in $175 million in business over the last two years. Mr. Pesserl earned a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and has earned various awards for radar, video, stability control, airbags, boosters and master cylinders. He would like to be remembered as someone who took risks to bring new products to the marketplace and was always at the forefront of new technology.
