313 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine S ome architects, like Anthony Michael Pisani, design new buildings and transform the spaces around them. For over four decades, Mr. Pisani has helped to restore and preserve old buildings and develop new ways of using existing structures. A registered architect in Massachusetts, California, Maine, Michigan, New York, New Hampshire, Texas and Vermont, he worked as a project architect for Kallmann & McKinnell from 1971 to 1973, for Charles G. Hilgenhurst Associates from 1973 to 1974, and for Desmond & Lord Architects from 1974 to 1977. Having gained experience from each project, he established an architectural business of his own in 1978. In addition to his role as an architect, he served as instructor of design for the Boston Architectural Center from 1971 to 1974, and as vice chairman of the Boston Landmarks Commission from 1987 to 1995. Mr. Pisani received a diploma from the Museum School in 1966, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tufts University in 1966, and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University in 1971. Mr. Pisani remains abreast of his field as a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Boston Society of Architects, the Construction Specifications Institute, the Urban Land Institute, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the Society of Architectural Historians and the Boston Zoning Board of Appeal. He has designed several projects in the eastern United States, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Japan, and has contributed articles to professional journals in the field. Mr. Pisani has been featured in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
