320 MILLENNIUM A lan C. Reid has served as a Senior Information Systems Analyst for A2Z, Inc, for the last seven years. Mr. Reid is responsible for solving problems related to computer technology, including setting up hardware and software and adding new software applications to increase productivity. His profession was sparked by his training in the U.S. Marine Corps, which he joined after graduating high school. During his time there, he was promoted to Corporal by Brigadier General Grey, and shortly thereafter, transferred to First Recon Battalion at Camp Telega, Camp Pendleton. From 2002 to 2008, he was the lead information technology architect for all U.S. Marine Corps Aviation Information Systems for the surge into Iraq and Afghanistan for Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). He has also utilized his 38 years of professional experience to teach system administration classes to sailors and marines. Throughout his career, he has obtained many achievements and accomplishments. The highlights of Mr. Reid’s career include the planning, coordination and successful deployment of Third Marine Air Wing Information Systems in support to the execution of the Global War on Terrorism in Iraq. In the scope of three months, he set up three disparate locations to support 27 aviation units and two support ships, consisting of 216 aircrafts and more than 5,000 personnel working with local computer systems and satellite communications. Additionally, he has accomplished 14 hardware and software installations and upgrades, valued at more than $6 million for 42 aviation departments. After 30 years of service, he retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, achieving the rank of E-9 Master Gunnery Sergeant. Mr. Reid earned a bachelor’s degree in InformationTechnology Management fromNational University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
