328 MILLENNIUM E ugene Roth is a partner at Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald, LLP, a law firm that focuses on business and finance, litigation, personal injury, real estate, labor and employment, estates and taxes, oil and gas law, and workers’ compensation. Mr. Roth has accrued more than five decades of professional experience at the firm, starting his career as an associate from 1960 to 1964. His skills and background led him to take on positions outside of the courtroom as chairman of the Greater Wilkes- Barre Partnership from 1991 to 1993 and chairman of the Wyoming Valley Retirement Community, Inc., from 2004 to 2007. He was also affiliated with United Way Wyoming Valley and the Eastern Pennsylvania regional board of directors for Geisinger- Wyoming Valley Hospital. Mr. Roth has been a trustee of Wilkes University since 1979 and director of the Joint Urban Studies Center since 2006. His hard work and dedication to the field have earned him many honors, including the Distinguished Pennsylvanian Award from the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Community Service Award from B'nai B'rith International, and the Distinguished Citizen Award from the Northeast Pennsylvania Council of Boy Scouts of America. He also received the Shofar Award and was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer and Outstanding Volunteer Fund Raiser. Mr. Roth, who is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association, and the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, was quoted in a Boston Globe article. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Wilkes University in 1957 and a Bachelor of Laws from Pennsylvania State University in 1960, and gained admittance to the Pennsylvania State Bar in 1960 and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in 1961.
