Dr. Salmassi has reached many achievements throughout his career in medicine, though one of his greatest was opening his own practice, Salmassi Cosmetic & Medical Institute (SCMI). His practice specializes in cosmetic procedures, such as laser hair removal, skin revitalization, vascular treatment, and correction of pigmentation, surgical and acne scars, and stretch marks. Dr. Salmassi began his formal education at Shiraz University in Iran, where he received a medical degree. He immigrated to the United States and obtained his first job as an instructor of pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He stayed in that position for five years until moving to Missouri and accepting a position as assistant professor of pathology at the University of Missouri.
