373 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine R obert Arthur Churchill Stewart, known as Bob among his peers, is a publishing executive with more than 45 years of experience in the field. As the founder and governing director of Scientific Journal Publishers, a company that publishes Social Behavior and Personality, Dr. Stewart has worked his way through the ranks to make a name for himself, publishing in more than 180 countries around the world. In addition to his career in publishing, he has also authored six books, contributed 61 chapters to books, and written articles in professional journals. Before embarking on a successful journey in publishing, Dr. Stewart began imparting his knowledge to undergraduate and graduate students as a lecturer in psychology at Carleton University from 1965 to 1966 and later as a senior lecturer in education at Massey University from 1968 to 1978. He was also an associate professor of psychology and professor of human development before his expertise led to his naming as head of the School of Education at the University of the South Pacific from 1981 to 1983. He soon after was named pro vice-chancellor, acting chancellor and head of the School of Humanities. Dr. Stewart’s successful career is backed by a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Zealand, a Master of Education from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from Massey University. He remains a member of the New Zealand Property Investors Federation, for which he was a council member and vice president from 1991 to 1992; the Palmerston North Rotary Club, having served as the community service director from 1991 to 1992; and the Terrace End Rotary Club.
