413 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine A s the chief executive officer and president of The Cooper Companies, Inc. since 2008, Robert Stephen Weiss brings with him more than four decades of professional experience. As the leader of the company, Mr. Weiss dedicates his expertise and knowledge to providing innovative medical products and exceptional customer service to the specialty health care market. To prepare for his career, he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Scranton in 1968. In 1980, he began working at The Cooper Companies, Inc., formerly known as CooperVision Inc., as a group controller. During his time at the company, he excelled and held many positions, including vice president, corporate controller, treasurer, senior vice president, executive vice president of finance, chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Reaching many accomplishments in his career, Mr. Weiss is extremely proud of putting employees first, creating corporate wellness programs which have been adapted in over 20 countries, taking over as chief executive officer and building a quality of life company. Mr. Weiss is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of CPAs and a trustee at the University of Scranton.
