451 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine A ke Edfeldt is a tenured educator who has had a successful career teaching graduate and undergraduate students in his home country of Sweden. Dr. Edfeldt received a Master of Arts, a PhD, and a Doctor of Education at Stockholm University in 1953, 1954 and 1960, respectively. After obtaining his degrees, he began teaching at his alma mater, where he was an assistant professor, associate professor, professor of education and professor emeritus. His experience and skills have allowed him to contribute his knowledge to many professional journals and submit articles concerning issues within the Swedish school system to newspapers. During his career, he was also a professor of education for Turku Academy and founder of the Swedish Movement for Education for Highly Gifted Children. Dr. Edfeldt remains active in his field as a member of the International Association for Reading and Learning Disabilities, which he served as president from 1983 to 1984, and has received much recognition for his dedication to his field, including an honorary silver plaque from the Stockholm Community Board in 1990. M icrobiologists like Josephine Ehret study microorganisms in order to understand how they affect our lives and the ways to derive benefits from them. Ms. Ehret began her career as a medical technologist at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center from 1956 to 1975. She started studying microbes as a research microbiologist at the Denver Department of Health and Hospitals from 1980 to 2004 and later delved into education as an instructor for the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 1985 to 2008. Never losing her desire to find the answers to pressing questions about microorganisms, she was also a research biologist at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, a position she held beginning in 1956. She has contributed her knowledge by writing articles in professional journals and is actively involved in her field as a member of the American Society for Microbiology, American Medical Technologists, the American Sexually Transmitted Diseases Association, and the California Association for Medical Laboratory Technology. Ms Ehret obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Mexico in 1955.
