477 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine B rian Lessing is a senior director and actuary with AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and has been with the company since 1984. Mr. Lessing became interested in actuarial science while studying theoretical mathematics and gradually applied math to real-world financial problems. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts and from New York University with a Master of Science, then began his career as a technical assistant at Mutual of New York where he worked from 1980 to 1984. He then joined AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, where he has been involved primarily in life insurance pricing and product development. Mr. Lessing attributes much of his success to trying to understand things on his own terms and to being able to help other people accomplish their goals. He remains active in his field as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and as a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and of the American Academy of Actuaries. He hopes to experience continued growth, participate in committees addressing industry issues, and continue teaching at the university level. D ennis Carroll Lewis is a talented writer and spiritual teacher with over 21 years of professional experience in his field. To prepare for his career, Mr. Lewis obtained a Bachelor of Science from San Francisco State University in 1967. Before honing in on his literary prowess, he began his career as a computer programmer and analyst for Levi Strauss in San Francisco from 1969 to 1972. Soon after, he began delving into the literary field as a book editor for Miller Freeman Pub Co, from 1973 to 1976. After leaving that company he became a public relations account executive at Paul Purdom & Co and progressed to partner and president of Hi-Tech Publicity and Hi- Tech Public Relations, Inc. respectively. His passion and artistic ability has lead him to author several of his own booksand edit others on spirituality, as well contribute articles to newspapers and professional journals. Additionally, Mr. Lewis serves as a healing Tao instructor and Chi Nei Tsang Practitioner, the owner of Mountain Wind Publications, and Authentic Breathing Resources, LLC since 1993, 1996, and 2000 respectively. He previously served as instructor for B.K. Frantzis Energy Arts from 1997 to 2001.
