494 MILLENNIUM A fter earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, as well as a JD from the University of Alberta, and serving as regional counsel to Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, Sidney Rodnusky has spent the latter part of his career as an educational administrator helping to set and maintain standards of excellence in schools throughout the provinces. A former school principal and director of teaching, he has experience in staff selection and development, as well as strategic planning and program coordination for gifted education. Mr. Rodnunsky is also a former governor of Grande Prairie Regional College and past president of the Alberta Teachers’ Association, and he holds membership in the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Alberta. In recognition of his professional and civic contributions, he was named to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and received the Legion of Merit, one of only two U.S. military decorations to be issued as a neck order. Mr. Rodnunsky has also been included in several multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, and Who’s Who in American Law. R obert B. Sanders is a retired biochemistry professor, consultant and academic administrator who has served the University of Kansas for over four decades. In 1966 Dr. Sanders began teaching at the institution as an assistant professor and was later promoted to professor. During his tenure at the university he has held several positions, including professor of biochemistry, associate dean of the graduate school, and associate vice chancellor and was honored as professor emeritus in 2004. He has utilized his knowledge and expertise to author books such as the 2010 and 2015 versions of “Contributions of African American Scientists to the Fields of Science, Medicine and Inventions,” and has contributed articles to professional journals in the field. His career is backed by his extensive education, earning a Bachelor of Science from Paine College and a Master of Science in biological chemistry and a Ph.D. in biological chemistry from the University of Michigan. He also completed postdoctoral work in biological chemistry at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Sanders remains a member of the American Association of University Professors and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
