513 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine J acob Fred Weintz Jr. was inspired by his father, who was in marketing, and wanted to follow in his footsteps, though he eventually went into investment banking. He worked for Goldman Sachs his entire career, starting as an associate in the buying department and continuing to excel as an associate in the new business department and limited partner, a position he held from 1984 until his retirement in 1999. Throughout his career with Goldman Sachs, he learned to be involved, not just in the firm but in his community as well. He has served on several nonprofit boards, including that of the Stonebridge Condominium Association and as a trustee of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies and the Sierra Club Foundation. Mr. Weintz remains active in his field as a member of the Ambassadors Round Table, the Bond Club and the Martin B. County Historical Society, for which he has served as a board member since 2015. His hard work and contributions to his field earned him La Medaille de la Ville de Paris in 1990 and the Stanford Gold Spike Award in 1992. L ois Deimel Whealey is a humanities scholar who has imparted her knowledge to students as a grade school teacher for over six decades. Ms. Whealey began her educational tenure as a fifth grade teacher at Swayne School, where she served for one year. After the experience she garnered there, she became a seventh grade teacher at Fort Knox Dependent’s School before becoming a teacher of adult basic education in the U.S. Air Force. She continued to progress and obtain positions in the field, including as a sixth grade teacher at Amerman School, an eighth grade teacher in English and social studies at Slauson Junior High School, and an administrative assistant of the humanities conference at Ohio University. Throughout her career, she continued in education as a part-time instructor for Volunteers in Service to America with Rural Action and Ohio University, and she has contributed her knowledge to articles published in professional journals in the field. Ms. Whealey’s education is backed by a Bachelor of Arts in history from Stanford University, a Master of Arts in education from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts in political science and a Master of Social Science from Ohio University.
