26 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT in the Beck Gallery at the Sullivan County Historical Society, the Plotkin Gallery and Shops at the Loom. She was further commissioned by Christopher Coleman Interior Design to create an installation of painted constructions in 2013. Currently, Ms. Kavleski has excelled as a board member of the Amos Eno Gallery since 1984, having formerly flourished as a treasurer from 1991 to 1994. Recently, her work in 2020 and 2021 has been shown at the Albany Center Galleries, the Members Annual Exhibition with the National Association of Women Artists, the Winter Art Show with the Catskill Art Society, and the Sylvia Wald and Po Kim Art Gallery. Impressively, Ms. Kavleski has been in a myriad of publications for her artwork, and was featured in Les Krantz’s “The New York Art Review” in 1988. In 2018, she earned the Eve Helman Memorial Award for Works on Paper at the National Association of Women Artists Awards, among other accolades. Charleen Verena Kavleski has held a passion for art from a young age and, seeking to turnher passion into a career, attended Orange County Community College, where she received an AAS and AA in 1963 and 1964, respectively. Continuing coursework at the Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University, she went on to earn a BS from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 1967. She completed graduate coursework in fine arts at SUNY New Paltz until 1972. At the inception of her career in 1968, Ms. Kavleski was an art teacher for the Monticello Central School District until 1999, where she also served Robert J. Kaiser Middle School as an art advisor and an editor of the literary and art magazine between 1989 and 1999. She began her solo art career in 1982, where she displayed her work at the West Broadway Gallery and a group exhibition at The Haggin Museum. Throughout her career, she has also showcased her art at the Three Rivers Art Festival, the Butler Institute of American Art, the Mohawk-Hudson Regional Exhibition and the New York Academy of Sciences.
