27 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT Claire Knopf excelled in school during her youth, which led to her desire to pursue English and ultimately become an established writer. Studying at Michigan State University, the University of California Berkeley and New York University throughout her career, she commenced her endeavors as a freelance copy editor for Massada Publishing Company at Hebrew University in Israel between 1970 and 1979. Demonstrating a diversified career, Ms. Knopf subsequently served as a copy editor for such prominent publications as Time Magazine and Vogue Magazine in the United States for two decades before being afforded the opportunity to be a copy editor, writer and reporter for the Salt Lake Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in Salt Lake City from 2000 to 2002. Since 2002, Ms. Knopf has been a writer, reporter and researcher for the International Figure Skating Magazine, in which she has exemplified her proficiency in all aspects of writing and journalism. Certified in screenwriting and communication skills through New York University, she is also the noted author of the children’s book, “Lester Lamb, the Bogeyman.” She attributes her profound success to her passion for pursuing her career ambitions, noting that her innate talent in writing has increased her confidence and led her to surpassing her own goals. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Knopf has been highlighted in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women. She has maintained affiliation with the New York Press Club, the Time-Life Alumni Society, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Emphasizing that her career achievement was covering the Salt Lake Olympic Games in the early 2000s, Ms. Knopf is also proud of her time as an editor at Hebrew University, where she translated books from Hebrew to English. The proud aunt of three nieces and two nephews, Ms. Knopf enjoys exercising in her spare time. In addition, she enjoys art, ice-skating, crosscountry skiing and traveling.
