Peters III felt it necessary to change the course of his career after contracting COVID-19 in 2020. Having struggled with severe coronavirus symptoms that continue to linger to the present day, he decided from that point forward to delve into art as a coping mechanism. As time progressed and his strength returned, Mr. Peters began constructing large-scale paintings in a garage in Southampton, New York. Currently, he serves as the owner of RememberThisArt.com, a digital platform through which he and other artists can sell their artwork. Additionally, he co-founded Many as One in 2020 and InMyScrubs.com. Though in the beginning stages of his newfound career, Mr. Peters has received much acclaim and recognition for his artwork. His first work, “JADE,” is a 10’ by 8’ painting that was featured in the East End Collected6 exhibition at the Southampton Arts Center. His second work, “LULU,” is a revered painting that depicts a deer. To attest to his success, Mr. Peters has been highlighted in the media on myriad occasions. Reed has exemplified aptitude in systems administration, the creative arts and authorship. Now retired from her primary profession, she served as a systems and database administrator for the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families in Delaware, as well as an educator at numerous universities across the Eastern Coast of the United States. Now a multimedia artist in watercolor, oil, pastels and photography, as well as an acclaimed author, Dr. Reed has been published extensively for her expertise in newspapers and journals. She has also been exhibited in solo and group shows. Among her achievements, Dr. Reed is exceptionally proud of authoring “The Penry Penalty: Capital Punishment and Offenders with Mental Retardation” in 1993, in which she argued that an intellectually disabled individuals should not be executed by the courts as the individuals do not hold responsibility for their actions. Five years after publishing her book and sending it to the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court leveraged her thesis and ruled that the intellectually disabled cannot be executed.
