Married to his wife Gretchen for many years, he is the proud father of three children: Emma, Wyatt and Ivy. Notably, his family are also part of C Bar Contractors in responsible roles. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in economics from Texas A&M University in 1995, Chad E. Childress beganworking for American National Insurance. Employed with the insurance company for seven years, he served as a manager in the variable annuity department until his departure from the company. During this time, Mr. Childress felt that his skill set could be used elsewhere and drawing upon his previous experience in welding, he decided to delve into the construction industry. He was formerly taught how to weld by his father, who worked for a pipefitting union. Currently, Mr. Childress excels as the owner and president of C Bar Contractors in Hitchcock, Texas. A certified pipe welder and in pressure vessels, he has experienced several career highlights since starting his entrepreneurial career. Notably, the welders employed with his firm worked on antennas and various apparatuses for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) through a contract with the firm Jacob’s Engineering.
