At that time, CCG Consulting Group was requested to conduct damage assessments and present its applicable claims, which later became the largest FEMA claim in the history of the United States for a single applicant at over $10 billion. As a result of this remarkable feat, Mr. Carrion and his business became a leading expert in federal funding and grant management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Carrion served in a number of pharmaceutical-related positions. While studying toward a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, he served as a process engineer intern for Eli Lilly & Company and a technical service technician for Johnson & Johnson. After his receipt of his bachelor’s degree, he served as a process development investigator for BristolMyers Squibb. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Carrion also served as a manufacturing manager for Procter & Gamble, plant manager for Colgate Palmolive, general manager for Millipore Corporation and vice president of operations for Carrington Laboratories. Subsequently, Mr. Carrion excelled as a project delivery manager for CSA Group, Architects and Engineers, as well as the executive director for the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority. The recipient of a master’s degree in business administration from Universidad Ana G. Mendez, Mr. Carrion has maintained membership with several organizations. He is a former president of the Caguas chapter of Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de PR and member of the Water Environmental Federation and Puerto Rico Water and Environment Association. For his success, Mr. Carrion was honored with the You Can Make a Difference Award from Colgate Palmolive in 1998 for his contributions to the construction of a new manufacturing plant. He is a former U.S. Air Force officer. William Carrion is a tenured pharmaceutical executive who has excelled as the president of CCG Consulting Group in Puerto Rico since 2012.
