169 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS OWNER Hawaiian Nails & Spa Louisville, KY FOUNDER, PRESIDENT Lash Pilot Santa Monica, CA KIM HUONG TRUONG For more than 25 years, Kim Huong Truong has excelled as the owner of several hair and nail salons, in which she has leveraged her skills in cosmetology to provide premier services to her clients. Since 2011, she has served as the owner of Hawaiian Nails & Spa in Louisville, Kentucky, having previously served the salon as a manager and management assistant between 1997 and 2011. During this time, she also owned Chrysalis Nail Studio from 2000 to 2004 and LA Hair and Nail Mania from 1999 to 2001. Earlier in her career, she owned Diamond Nails, as well as Top Nails in Jeffersonville, Indiana, between 1996 and 1998. Ms. Truong is certified in microdermabrasion and permanent makeup, as well as holds cosmetology licenses in Louisiana, Indiana and Kentucky. In 2001, she received a certification in makeup artistry from the College of Physical Arts & Cosmetology. Drawing upon coursework at Jefferson Community College, she subsequently pursued a nail license at the Hair Design School in Louisville. Outside of her primary efforts, she also worked in the legal industry as a volunteer for the Vietnamese community for nearly three years. Quynh-Tram Vu founded Lash Pilot in 2014. Serving the area of Santa Monica, California, Lash Pilot provides clients with eyelash extensions and enhancements, as well as microblading and other cosmetic procedures. As founder and president of Lash Pilot, Ms. Vu has also leveraged her experience to transform Lash Pilot into a cosmetology school for prospective licensed eyelash extension stylists. Earlier in her career, she established QT Beauty Center in Garden Grove, California, and 95 Lash Salon in Santa Monica. She initially completed coursework at Paul Mitchell The School Costa Mesa. Ms. Vu graduated with honors from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and served as an accountant for Lindquist LLP. However, finding greater growth and joy in the creative sector, she departed from accounting to pursue cosmetology. Additionally, she spent significant time as a freelance reporter for Little Saigon Radio, Vien Dong Daily Newspaper and Viet Tide weekly magazine.
