Dr. Albright contributes to publications and research studies; has given local, regional and national presentations; and is an assistant clinical professor for MSU COM. While in the Air Force, she earned the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Training Ribbon. She was named Intern of the Year by the Internal Medicine Attending Group at Eglin AFB for 2014-2015. Dr. Albright maintains membership with the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine and American Osteopathic Association. Her passion is expanding the use of Exercise is Medicine to treat chronic disease, instill health and wellness, decrease heath care cost burdens, limit reliance on medication and improve patient outcomes. Since 2020, Dr. Elizabeth L. Albright has excelled as a primary care sports medicine physician at University of Michigan Health–West. She is a team physician for Grand Valley State University, the Grand Rapids Griffins and East Kentwood High School. Dr. Albright pursued formal education at Ferris State University, graduating in 2010 with a BS in applied biology: pre-med concentration. She went on to complete her DO from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University in 2014. She received an HPSP scholarship to attend medical school and, upon graduation, served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force while completing her residency. She completed her training in family medicine as a resident physician with the Eglin Family Medicine Residency Program at Eglin AFB and the Family and Community Residency Program at Western Michigan University. Dr. Albright completed her fellowship training in primary care sports medicine at Penn State University. During that time, she was a team physician for over 31 NCAA Division 1 sports and with Special Olympics Pennsylvania and the ELIZABETH L.
