Outside of his primary job commitments, Mr. Baker-Hargrove has lent his time and considerable expertise as an entertainment executive producer for the Come Out with Pride entertainment committee, which services the LGBTQ+ community throughout Central Florida. Likewise, he has been active on the leadership team of PRIDE, a Disney Resource Group, as well as on the board of the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. Formerly, he excelled as the treasurer of the Florida State Board of Directors for the Mental Health Association of Florida and is currently serving as a board member for Cavaliers Arts, Performance, & Education organization. To prepare for his pronounced career, Mr. Baker-Hargrove first pursued a formal education at the University of Texas at Austin, fromwhich he earned a Bachelor of Science in textile sciences, with a minor in business administration, in 1993. Many years later, he returned to higher education at Webster University, receiving an MBA in 2000. As a testament to his and 26Health’s successes, accolades have been bestowed upon them on countless occasions. Most notably, 26Health was named the Nonprofit of the Year following the organization’s active contributions to the community of Orlando after the Pulse nightclub tragedy in 2016. Additionally, 26Health was nominated for the Eagle Award by the African American Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Baker-Hargrove attributes his success to the support of his family, who have always instilled in him the importance of upholding a strong education. Likewise, he credits his drive to succeed as a contributing factor to his achievements, as well as his and his spouse’s motivation to influence the lives of the LGBTQ+ community in positive ways.
