McNew is now recognized as an accomplished entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience to his credit. Growing up, he and his family lived in Los Angeles, and his wish to provide a sustainable life for himself and his family propelled him forward in his ambitions. Likewise, he was equally influenced by his father, who was a World War II navy commander whose hard work ethic instilled in Mr. McNew the drive to better himself and others. Mr. McNew ultimately began working at the age of 9 and departed from his family home at the age of 16. Following his receipt of a BSBA in economics from the University of Central Florida in 1986, Mr. McNew worked in various positions with the hospitality, transportation and construction industries. In 1988, he began serving as the senior vice president of Sea Ray Boat, which he maintained until his departure in 2009. Alongside this path, in 2004, he became the president and chief executive officer of Correct Craft Boat, a position he held until 2006. From2009 to 2012, Mr. McNew served as the executive vice president of the Recreational Boat Group with Brunswick Boat Group. Following this tenure, he thrived as the president and chief executive officer of MasterCraft Boat Company between 2012 and 2019. Since 2019, Mr. McNew has excelled as the chief executive officer of Klaussner Home Furnishings in Asheboro, North Carolina. While pursuing his vocational endeavors, Mr. McNew also received a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of Tennessee in 2004. Among his many career highlights, he is exceptionally proud of taking the helm of MasterCraft Boating Company, where hewas able to save the company from near bankruptcy. Within three years, he was able to launch an IPO close to the NASDAQ Stock Exchange by 2015. That same year, MasterCraft Boating Company was recognized as the best manufacturer across the entire industry within North America. During his time spent with the company, he helped raise revenue to a market capital of $703million. Furthermore, Correct Craft Boat has been the longest continually operated boat company in the United States, partly due to his influence while serving as president and chief executive officer in the early 2000s.
