Earlier, Dr. Lim served as an instructor in medicine at Hahnemann Medical College between 1968 and 1970. Outside of his academic appointments, Dr. Lim served as a cardiologist for several medical facilities. Between 1969 and 1997, he served as a cardiologist for such institutions as Martin Army Hospital, Harrisburg Hospital, Holy Spirit Hospital, Community General Osteopathic Hospital, the Polyclinic Medical Center, the Fulton County Medical Center and Carlisle Hospital. He was also partner and then president of Moffitt, Pease & Lim Associates, Inc., between 1971 and 1997. Since 1997, he has continued to excel as a private consultant. To prepare for his career, Dr. Lim first earned a BS from Juniata College in 1959, followed by an MD from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 1963. He completed an internship and residency at the Polyclinic Medical Center and Geisinger Medical Center by 1966, as well as a fellowship in cardiology at Hahnemann Medical College by 1967. For the following year until 1968, he served as a chief cardiology fellow. Since obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Lim has been licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. Likewise, he is an authorized user of radiopharmaceuticals through the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Dr. Lim received the 2019 Achievement Award from the Juniata College Alumni Association and, previously, was named Best in Medicine and one of America’s Best Doctors by the American Health Council in 2018. In light of his service with the U.S. Army Medical Corps, he also earned a Meritorious Service Award with Medal and Citation in 1970. Supported by nearly four decades of expertise, Dr. Heng Feng Lim retired from his role as a clinical professor of medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine in 2000. Serving in that position for six years, he first joined the Penn State College of Medicine in 1971 as an instructor in medicine.
