Looking toward the future, Ms. Ward would like to delve into the educator sector to teach her peers about the significance of physician assistant roles in hospitals. Subsequent to receiving a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management fromClemson University in 2012, Jaime Ward, MHS, PA-C, began her career as a pharmaceutical sales representative, where she remained for three years. However, desiring to enter the medical field on a first-hand basis, she sought higher education and received a Master of Health Science in physician assistant studies from the University of South Alabama in 2016. Commencing her career in health care with the Cone Health Hospital System in 2016, she served as an emergency medicine physician assistant in three emergency departments until 2020. Since 2020, Ms. Ward has excelled as an emergency medicine physician assistant at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, North Carolina. In her role, she is extensively trained in critical care, where she focuses her efforts on the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and life-threatening medical conditions.
