Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School from 2020 to 2021. Commencing his career in 2004 with the Wisconsin Army National Guard, he served as an environmental science officer with C Co 132nd BBS, a brigade environmental science officer in Afghanistan, an executive officer in Iraq with A Co 132nd BBS, the commander of the 135th Area Support Medical Company, and an environmental science medicine officer at the Wisconsin Medical Detachment until 2018. During this time, Mr. Berger concurrently served the Wisconsin Department of Health Services as a senior environmental health specialist between 2010 and 2012, as well as Secura Insurance as a field claims associate from 2006 to 2010. Since 2013, Mr. Berger has excelled with August Winter & Sons, Inc., first as an assistant safety director and, since 2017, the safety director. As safety director, he is responsible for overseeing two safety coordinators and 325 employees, as well as managing job sites across Wisconsin to ensure workplace safety. Additionally, Mr. Berger has been a member of the Gameday Risk Management team for the Green Bay Packers since 2016 and a civil affairs officer for the U.S. Army Reserve since 2018. Furthermore, he teaches CPR and first aid, MSHA refresher courses, OSHA 10/30 hour courses and a variety of safety training programs. To remain abreast of changes in his field, Mr. Berger is affiliated with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the American Association of Safety Professionals. Notably, he is a lifetime member of the Military Officers of America Association and the Wisconsin National Guard Association. Looking toward the future, Mr. Berger intends to experience continued career growth. Supported by a BS in environmental sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and postgraduate studies in the Military School of Preventive Medicine at the Army Medical Department Center and School at Fort Sam in Houston, Nicholas A.
