While studying toward her master’s degree and doctorate at the University of Alabama, Dr. Jeffrey served the university in several leadership roles. Following her graduation, she served as manager of international trade at the Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce and executive secretary of the Alabama World Trade Association in the late 1970s to early 1980s. Following these tenures, Dr. Jeffrey taught for Troy State University’s MPA program in Europe on various Air Force bases in Turkey and Germany. Subsequently, she was employed by Kennesaw State University as an associate professor of political science and public administration, as well as interimdirector of the A.L. Burris Institute. There, she also founded the political science internship program and established the Pi Sigma Alpha Speakers Forum. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Jeffrey twice served as the president of the Georgia Society for Public Administration, having then been inducted into the American Society for Public Administration Hall of Champions in 1999. During this time, she was hired as a U.S. historian by the Republican Congress and ran for Congress in Georgia’s sixth district. To further supplement her career, Dr. Jeffrey also taught at Limestone College and Coastal Carolina University, serving the latter as an educator in American government and constitutional law and a consultant to former Provost David DeCenzo. Likewise, she was vice president for development at the Palladian Group, followed by political campaigns for the State House. Now retired from academia and politics, she contributes to her local community. Dr. Jeffrey earned a full scholarship to Vassar College before receiving a BA from Plano University and an MA and PhD from the University of Alabama. She penned the book manuscript, “How to Save the Safety Net.” Since 2020, Dr. Christina Fawcett Jeffrey has thrived as the president of the U.S. Allegiance Institute, an organization that educates the public sector about the United States Constitution, particularly in relation to key clauses that are often overlooked.
