Ronkonkoma, NY Millennium Magazine Featured Listee KAUSHAL KAKADIA A first-generation Indian American, Kaushal Kakadia grew up in New Orleans, where he was first introduced to the hospitality industry. Helping his parents run a local hotel in the area, he subsequently developed a passion for working, as well as education. Although he initially sought to enter the field of medicine while studying at the University of Mississippi, Mr. Kakadia completed coursework in entrepreneurship, introducing him to the world of business. From that point forward, he endeavored to become a businessowner. Since 2014, he has excelled as partner of Sociallyin, a premier social media agency that helps medium- and large-sized brands with social media marketing and strategies. Looking forward, he intends to make larger investments in social and digital media. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kakadia served as an area supervisor and general manager of Subway, a manager of Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt, and a hotel manager of Holiday Inn Express. For his success with Sociallyin, he has been recognized on a myriad of occasions and received the Marketing Leadership Award. Civically involved as well, he maintains affiliation with Habitat for Humanity. At the inception of his career following his receipt of his associate degree in business administration and management from Brookdale Community College, Richard Marshall-Komst worked in the banking industry for several years. However, after the bailout of banks in the early 2000s, he endeavored to seek out similar work in a different field that offered more stability. Joining BH Aircraft Co., Inc., Mr. Komst first served as a human resource generalist before attaining his current role as director of human resources and finance. He has excelled in this position since 2017. Earlier in his career, Mr. Komst was a loan administrator for Mizuuho and an administrative officer for IDB Bank. Civically engaged as well, he is a past member of the Rotary Club. Although he has experienced many laudable achievements, he is especially proud of escalating through the ranks of success and contributing to the transformation of the human resources landscape at BH Aircraft Co. in only four years.
