247 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS A native of China, Lina Zhu initially found interest in the field of health care due to her husband, who was a physician. Upon relocating to the United States, she desired to help community members in medicine-related capacities, particularly in terms of language barriers in the medical industry. Before transitioning into health care, Ms. Zhu sought a formal education at the Jiangsu University of Technology, where she studied technology and earned a BS in computer science in 2001. Serving as a science instructor at the College of Information and Technology in China until 2004, Ms. Zhu briefly lived in Canada, where she was a dental assistant between 2005 and 2006. In the years that followed, Ms. Zhu pursued higher education at Mississippi Delta Community College, where she received an AS in nursing in 2013. From there, she enrolled in the Mississippi University for Women, earning a BS in nursing in 2015 and an MS in nursing in 2017. Ms. Zhu was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and is recognized as a registered nurse and dental chair side assistant. Additionally, she is certified in advanced cardiac life support. Currently, Ms. Zhu presides over a number of health care-related practices, including as the co-founder of Care Plus Family Medicine, P.C., in Chamblee, Georgia. She is also an employee relations business partner for Careplus and a medical manager for Medsolution ZLN, LLC. Prior to attaining these roles, Ms. Zhu served as a family nurse practitioner student at the Carrollton Family Clinic & Baptist Orthopedic Clinic and a nursing practitioner student at the Greenwood Pediatric Clinic through the Mississippi District IV Health Department. Among the many highlights of her career, Ms. Zhu is especially proud of her journey traveling across the world and living in China, Canada and the United States. She notes that although she did not speak English prior to her immigration, she achieved much through hard work and inspiration from others.
