After receiving a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Northeastern University in 2016, she established A La Carte Events Services & Consulting in 2017, where she has since excelled as the owner. With her event planning business, Ms. Ward Nussbaum endeavors to make wedding planning more inclusive to contemporary newlyweds, as well as break down financial barriers that may prevent married couples from experiencing their dream wedding. In the near future, she intends to transition her business into a New England-based company, where she can target beautiful coastline venues. Specifically, she would like to organize weddings in Newport, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Ms. Ward Nussbaum attributes her present success to her background in the nonprofit sector, which taught her how to become a mission-driven individual in the field of event planning. Likewise, she credits the support of her family and husband. Outside of her primary vocation, she is a recognized mountaineer and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Everest to raise money for cancer patients.
