A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Andalcio immigrated to the United States in 1975. He then earned advanced degrees at the Robert Kennedy College in Zurich, Switzerland, and an MBA in international business at the University of Cumbria in England. He completed executive management, corporate management and business administration courses at the University of Notre Dame, University of Illinois, University of Chicago and Stanford University. Mr. Andalcio was named Hispanic Businessperson of the Year by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2020. Most recently, he was recognized as the 2022 Chicago United Bridge Award recipient, which honors a company that has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in achieving diversity, equity and inclusion. Possessing a passion for helping others, David R. Andalcio dedicated himself to helping his local community. First founding Interface Computer Communications, he served in that position until dissolving the company in 2003. Subsequently, the former Governor of the State of Illinois appointed Mr. Andalcio as director and chairman of the engineering committee with the Illinois Tollway Highway Authority, serving between 2003 and 2010. During his tenure, he still desired to help others and established Wynndalco Enterprises, LLC in 2009, where he excels as chief executive officer and ensures that the needs of his employees are met with satisfaction. Mr. Andalcio has prided himself on providing a safe and stable environment for his employees, as well as serving as a mentor to other organizations that assist business owners. He has contributed to the success of Women Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises and Minority Business Enterprises.
