During his tenure with China Construction America, he helped grow the company from $30 billion to $200 billion in revenue per year, which he cites as a career highlight. Likewise, he was the chief executive officer of Foundation of the Eternal Feminine from 2016 to 2019 and a visiting lecturer at Tsinghua University from 2004 to 2012. Since 2005, Dr. Hawk has remained the director of the Center for Corporate Rehabilitation. Dr. Hawk is also a published writer, having penned “Short-termGain, Long-termPain: Climate Change as a Faustian Tragedy” in 2022, “Too Early, Too Late, Now What?” in 2019, “Negotiated Order and Network Form Organizations” in 2005 and “Changelessness and Other Impediments to Systems Change” in 1999. Moreover, he testified and was a commission member for the Organization for Net Neutrality. He was named the 2004 International Professor of the Year by IBM. Concerned with humankind’s relation to and treatment of nature, Dr. David L. Hawk served in the Vietnam War and realized how humans truly treated the Earth. After receiving a BArch in engineering from Iowa State University and joint MArch and MCP degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, he pursued a doctorate degree at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1979, he graduated with a PhD in system science and international business. During his studies, he traveled to the Stockholm School of Economics, studying and working on projects related to environmental protection. Between 1975 and 1996, he served the Stockholm School of Economics as a visiting professor in their Institute of International Business, and through his work, he launched a project that analyzed the relationship between industrial practices and environmental deterioration. As a result, Dr. Hawk was confronted by 20 companies and six governments that expressed interest in joining the project. Dr. Hawk also served the New Jersey Institute of Technology as a professor and dean of the Schools of Architecture and Management from DAVID L.
