For the nationally recognized multifamily building “The Windward,” he received the Beautification Award from Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, the National Merit Award in the mixed-use project category, and the National Gold Nugget Award. Additionally, Mr. Kessi has been honored with Excellence in Construction, Best in Class and Best Interior Design designations for his projects and, in 2016, was honored among Portland’s Top Newsmakers of 2016 by the Daily Journal of Commerce. Moreover, he was recognized in 2008 by the Portland Business Journal “40 under 40.” Mr. Kessi is a Eucharistic minister and serves on the finance council of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. He previously served as council president of the Scappoose City Council and currently coaches youth sports in Scappoose. He serves on the board of the directors for the Home Builders Association of Portland and University of Portland. Growing up on a dairy farm in Scappoose, Oregon, during his formative years, Patrick H. Kessi learned to utilize a hands-on approach toworking, whether it was through helping on the farm or renovating houses. As time progressed, he also developed a passion for real estate during his undergraduate studies at theUniversityof Portland, where he purchased, remodeled and leased his very first investment property. Graduating in 1999 with a BA in finance, he currently excels as the chief executive officer, founder and owner of PHK Construction LLC and PHK Development, Inc. His firms specialize in commercial office, industrial, retail, multi-family and public buildings. Accruing several years of experience, Mr. Kessi helped construct various Starbucks buildings and is upgrading the historic Timberline Lodge in Mt. Hood, Oregon, which is federally owned by the National Forest Service. Additionally, he has won many accolades for his work with Marvel 29 at the base of St. Johns Bridge in Portland, Oregon, and with The Windward in downtown Lake Oswego, Oregon.
