He first established Arrow Kennels in 1976, named after his first competitive dog, Arrow, and enrolled in a dog training class. Over the years, he participated in competitions, AKC obedience trails, hunt tests and field trials. Mr. Mestas’ excellence in the early stages of this part of his career solidified his desire to pursue the field further, and he eventually established Dog Training Elite Franchising LLC in 2015. As founder and president, he offers a variety of services to pet owners, including obedience training for animals with anxiety, aggression or destructive behaviors. Additionally, he trains service dogs for individuals with specialized needs. Accruing over 45 years of experience, Mr. Mestas also oversees marketing, sales and training operations. Looking toward the future, he intends to expand Dog Training Elite Franchising to all 50 U.S. states. Outside of his primary endeavors, he offers free dog training services through theMalinois Foundation to veterans, first responders, survivors of violence and children with specialized needs. Dog Training Elite Franchising won first placement in their category in Utah’s Best of State. Since 2020, Kimberly Oderkirk has excelled as the chief executive officer of Painting & Disaster Restoration Academy, LLC in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Alongside this endeavor, she has also served as executive vice president of Connections2careers since 2021, as well as the senior editor of CFI’s Flooring Specialist Magazine since 2020 and owner and president of Association Services Stellar Events, LLC since 1991. Earlier in her career, Ms. Oderkirk thrived as executive vice president of FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, between 1999 and 2020. Ms. Oderkirk received a BA in advertising and business from Michigan State University in 1984. She is an NCCER certified instructor of Core and an OCT-Odor Control Technician and holds a pandemic meeting and event design certification. Citing her establishment of the Painting & Disaster Restoration Academy and Connection2careers as highlights of her career, she was honored with the Top 20 Women Award from Floor Covering News in 2006. Looking toward the future, she intends to escalate the Academy to a level where it is self-sufficient and self-sustaining, as well as build a dedicated team of professionals who will aid her in furthering the reach of their programs.
