37 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT professional author and poet, he has published over 17 original works with his publishing company, Galwin Press. Some publications include “Mixed Bag: A Travelogue in Four Forms” in 2018, “Rough Cut” Thirty Years of Senryu” in 2019 and “Legacy: Thirty Years of Haiku” in 2020. In addition, he co-edited “Eclipse Moon,” the 20th Anniversary Anthology of the Southern California Haiku Study Group in 2017. For his success, he has been recognized by numerous organizations, societies and entities. Among recent credits, his poem “The Year We Never Saw Coming” was chosen as the first selection of the San Diego Poetry Anthology in 2020, marking one of the latest of over 70 anthologies in which his poetry and prose have appeared. Furthermore, he was honored as the Daily Haiku Poet in June 2021 by the Mann Library at Cornell University. He recently began serving as editor of the California Quarterly in 2021. Supported by a BA in English language and literature from Hofstra University, Mr. Galasso maintains affiliation with The California State Poetry Society, Haiku Society of America, British Haiku Society and Haiku Canada in addition to several poetry societies across the country. Earlier, he served as an actor and narrator between 1990 and 2015, during which he was featured in two episodes of “Northern Exposure” and voiced General Colin Powell in “What I Saw in Iraq.” Outside of his writing, he previously served as an associate account manager of a networking connectivity hardware at Allied Telesyn International Group from 1994 to 1998 and an event staff member for the Seattle Sounders, Mariners and Seahawks from 2009 to 2015. Mr. Galasso remains active as a working poet and editor, currently engaged in several ongoing projects. Looking forward, he intends to gain more exposure of his work and publishing company. William Scott Galasso was inspired to write poetry at a formative age and, as the years progressed, his affinity for the written word has been exemplified in a myriad of media. Since 1973, he has excelled as a freelance writer, in which he performs readings for live audiences, television and radio.
