Alongside his professional career, Mr. Grewal contributes to his community through mentoring others, providing support to the local homeless population, and serving as a member of the Association of SouthAsian Professionals of British Columbia and TEC (The Executive Committee) Canada. As a testament to his success in the field of environmental engineering, he has earned several accolades, which he cites as highlights of his career. He earned the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and was named among the Top 40 Under 40 by Business in Vancouver in 2013. He was also named Business Person of the Year in 2018 and an EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist for three consecutive years between 2018 and 2021. Most recently, he was awarded the top title of Canada’s Environmental Engineering CEO of the Year by CEO Monthly in its Global CEO Excellence 2021 Awards. An environmental engineer with over 20 years of experience to his credit, Raminder Grewal joined Keystone Environmental Ltd. in 2000 as a project manager and environmental engineer and, since 2013, has excelled in his role as president of the organization. As president, he provides consultant-related services for various contaminated sites across Canada and offers tangible solutions to each of his clients’ environmental concerns. Additionally, Mr. Grewal enjoys spending time in the company of his staff, having had the opportunity to provide long-term employment for many of his team members. Earlier, he also served as an environmental engineer for Levelton Consultants Ltd. To prepare for his career, Mr. Grewal pursued an education at the University of British Columbia, where he met a geological engineer who opened his eyes to the field of environmental engineering. This resulted in him earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in environmental and geotechnical engineering in 1998.
