To supplement her degree, she attended the Rocky Mountain Revenue Management School and completed a basic economic development course at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Recently, Ms. Boyle was accepted to the University of Texas at Arlington to pursue a master’s degree in business administration. A certified park and recreation professional (CPRP) through the National Recreation and Park Association, Ms. Boyle has received a number of accolades in recognition of her success. She was honored with a Top 40 Award for Outstanding Performance in Community Engagement , Tourism and Economic Development through the Kerrville Economic Development Corporation in 2021. Additionally, she has contributed to several community activities during her career. Employed by the City of Kerrville, Texas, since 2008, Ashlea A. Boyle first served as a parks and recreation manager for four years, followed by an additional four-year tenure as a special projects manager. From 2016 to 2017, she was the assistant director of parks and recreation. Since 2017, she has been promoted to director of parks and recreation, where she has managed over 25 parks and 50 full-time staff members. In her prominent role, she conducts check-ups of parks and facilities, as well as aids staff members in developing park-related programs. Under her leadership, the City of Kerrville has improved twofold with respect to communication and engagement initiatives thanks to her efforts in marketing, promotions and branding. Alongside this feat, Ms. Boyle is affiliated with Kerrville 2050. Earlier in her career, Ms. Boyle served as an aquatics program supervisor for the City of New Braunfels, Texas, from 2004 to 2008 and was a coach on behalf of numerous lifeguards in Kerrville for five years.
