Mr. Noyce is a board member of the Dog Alliance and served as a faculty member in the computer science department at the University of North Dakota. Noyce attended the Colorado School of Mines, thereby introducing him to programming coursework. Becoming fascinated with the subject of programming, he subsequently received an associate degree in nuclear technology from Wilber Wright Community College and a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in computer science from the University of North Dakota. While in pursuit of his advanced degrees, Mr. Noyce was active with the United States Air Force. Upon departure from the military, Mr. Noyce joined the Shell Oil Company, where he was first involved in corporate planning for three years. Subsequently, he spent the following 22 years as a senior program manager. Now retired, Mr. Noyce reflects upon his longstanding career and notes that a highlight of his career was developing a program that automated palinspastic restorations during his tenure with Shell Oil Company.
