For his achievements, he was honored with a Professional Achievement Award from the College of Business at the University of Central Florida in 2015, who also inducted him into their College of Business Hall of Fame in 2018. Likewise, Mr. McNew has been a member of the National Marine Manufacturers Association Board and a sponsor of Compassion International, where he – alongside his wife – supports four children from Uganda, the Philippines, Haiti and Indonesia. He is a past member of the Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and a former member of the board of directors of West Marine. Moreover, he was affiliated with Inspiration Ministries and Heifer International. Since 2021, he has served as an elected member of the board of directors of the American Home Furnishings Alliance. Looking toward the future, Mr. McNew intends to continue witnessing the growth and success of Klaussner Home Furnishings and eventually ease into a well-deserved retirement. In addition, he would like to continue dedicating his time to various boards and committees, aswell as provide private counsel to individual board members along the way. Married to his wife Allison, they share five children: Matt, Leah, Tara, Lauren and Beth. He also has 11 grandchildren, consisting of nine grandsons and two granddaughters.
