Mr. Coughran has served as an educator at universities throughout Southern California, as well as trained individuals and presented at conferences and lectures across local, national and international platforms. Likewise, he has been a sought-after speaker and expert bymedia outlets, has contributed to Newsweek Magazine, and has been extensively published in trademagazines and on local radio and television outlets. Mr. Coughran received the Integrity Award from Farmers and Merchants Bank, Social Impact Award from the International Executive Council, Certificate of Recognition from the U.S. Congressional Office, and two knighthoods from internationally recognized chivalry orders. He also earned Certificates of Recognition from the California State Assembly and State Senate. He holds a BA in political science and MA in organizational leadership from Chapman University. Desiring to serve his community and help others, Adam Coughran initially sought a career in law enforcement. Commencing his vocational efforts as a police officer in Southern California, he served in that capacity for two decades. During this time, he lent his wealth of knowledge and expertise to counterterrorism efforts, tourismoriented policing, street patrol and field training. As time progressed, Mr. Coughran felt a need to aid his local community, and he departed fromhis role as a law enforcement official to found Standards Training Group, a consulting firm that has aided businesses in preventing crime and violence. While serving Standards Training Group, Mr. Coughran delved into several different industries, training personnel throughout the hospitality and education sectors. It was during this time that he understood the need for violence prevention training for children. Thereafter, he founded Safe Kids Inc. and created the H.E.R.O. (Hide, Escape, Run, Overcome) Program.
