First starting out in retail and customer service environments, she soon began working in the business sector at an insurance office. In 2004, Mrs. Carter established Xtreme Wireless, where she has since excelled as the owner. Likewise, she is also the owner and operator of Lady Dorothy Boutique since 2020, which was named in honor of her late mother, Dorothy Bryan. Since founding the business alongside her daughter, Mrs. Carter has received a myriad of recognitions for her boutique business. She also notes that she is proud to be able to thrive as a successful entrepreneur in what is typically a male-dominated field in the wireless industry. Attributing her success to her drive, honesty and forthright nature, Mrs. Carter also prides herself on making personal connections with all her customers and forging strong relationships that allow her customers to return again and again. Looking forward, Mrs. Carter intends to witness the continued growth of her businesses and pass down her legacy to her children. Ever since the age of 5, Gabriella Travali DeStefano desired to enter the cosmetics industry as a hair stylist. First attending Ricci’s Academy, she graduated with certifications in cosmetology, styling and nail before joining Ricci’s Salon and Spa in 2007. Ms. DeStefano served the salon for three years as a hair stylist, then joined S Salon by Salvatore in 2010 as a master stylist, where she remained until 2014. Since 2014, she has excelled as the owner and hair stylist of Gavali Salon in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she performs a number of exquisite hair services for her loyal client base. In accounting for her success, Ms. DeStefano credits her affinity for being a people person and being accommodating toward all her clients who approach her with concerns about their hair. In light of her exceptional undertakings, she earned the Best Hair Color Award by Fairfield County and was named among the Top 20 Salons for Design in the United States in 2020. Among her many career achievements, she is especially proud of establishing her own salon and persevering amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Looking forward, Ms. DeStefano intends to expand her business.
